Re: Cal switch WG duty adder
Sorry, I have got it sorted, just not explained myself particularly clearly. I'll try to be a bit clearer... Yes, the base wastegate duty table is (or rather was ) the wrong way around. I've corrected it now so that 0% = wastegate fully open and 100% = wastegate fully closed, so it's as you describe...

Re: Cal switch WG duty adder
Ah cheers! As I suspected the base wastegate duty table was the wrong way around. 0% = Fully open, 100% = Fully closed. The phase duty table looks right (increasing proportionally with final duty) so I think that's all OK. I'm not quite seeing what you mean by the PD table being the wrong way around...

Re: Cal switch WG duty adder
My final goal is to try to improve the closed loop control. I'm seeing that the control is very slow to home in on the target. It undershoots and then the integrator slowly pulls it up. What are you trying to achieve in the end with your boost control? Are you trying to measure boost vs WG duty for ...

Cal switch WG duty adder
Hmmmm, strange thing here.... I've just been taking a look at quantifying my wastegate duty vs MAP setup and have noticed something a bit strange.... I've set the base wastegate duty table to 50% everywhere. I've then turned off the closed loop feedback by setting the wastegate integrator gain to 0%...

Offline creation of logbook worksheets
Would it be possible to create some log data that has every possible channel populated so that it is possible to create worksheets "offline". Even if the data is just full of zeros, it will be possible to create Maths channels and set-up custom worksheets before you've actually pulled the ...

Cylinder Trim Adder Learning
Hi, Can anyone explain what the function of the Cylinder Trim Adder Learning is?
I'm guessing it's a means to keep each cylinder right on the verge of knock?
Thanks!

Wastegate control
Hi, Can someone explain how the wastegate control strategies on the S8 work? I see that which strategy is selected is controlled under Calibration Switches / Wastegate Control / Wastegate Strategy Select For the Standard strategy, I'm assuming that similar to the S6 control you set the the target li...

Error codes
Would it be possible to set an error code against each sensor so that if it fails you could set up an output to flash the error code? That would make diagnosing without a laptop a lot easier. (I don't want to carry my laptop everywhere "just in case"!) If it's not possible to assign an err...

Re: Water / oil / fuel temp sensors
:? So without the bias resistor values, we're going to struggle? Pat, is it possible to get this? I've been chatting to some of the electronics guys at work who have said it's possible to generate a voltage table for the sensor but it requires some signal conditioning. (They mentioned current loops)...

Re: Water / oil / fuel temp sensors
OK, now all I need to know is what the Rterm and Rbias functions relate to! :D From my searching on the net, it looks like if I connect the sensor up to a steady current supply, as I have the resistance for any given temperature from the calibration in the link, I should then be able to measure the ...
