long tooth gap

Hi we have a ford cossie drag car with 36-1 crank triger wheel ,we have been testing the car at the track did 5 runs ok on the 6th pass the car bogged off the line .after checking the logging it shows the car was in 720 but had a long tooth gap .what causes a long tooth gap and can it affect performance .cheers for any advice

Do you have a log showing when the long toothgap was picked up?
